Post Production

For this week im still doing my group project. Im still working on the voice recording. I have to improve on it by purchasing a microphone that can work with the iPad that im currently using, and when I get that finished, I will be done with what I have to do. 





There’s not much to say. The group that im working with pretty much have everything done. We, as a group, are just tweaking some of our work, making it better written, especially when it comes to our script. For me, for the writing, I would include some things that can be improved upon. For example, instead of focusing on one game, I could be focusing on another game with a ridiculous story like the first game I worked on. For my script, you tell that it's been rushed, and it doesn’t sound good, which is why I need to focus on that and buy a microphone so that I can use it to get a better recording and a script so that I can improve upon it. 

As for the editing, one of the group members can edit well. He is using Adobe Premiere Pro. This software that our group is using makes it looks good, especially with the animation, the music and the funny gifs that will be playing in the background of the video itself.

I’d say the most challenging part of this group assignment was to write up a script, and then you would have to record yourself reading it out loud, making it sound like your not rushing the writing, seeing as you would only have a minute to register it. If you go over the limit, you will lose marks for the assignment that you are to be doing, making the voice recording challenging to do. For me, I was worried about stuttering throughout the whole recording, seeing as I have a habit of doing that. Thankfully I would not need to worry about that seeings as you can edit the voice recordings on Adobe Premiere Pro or any other video software and cut out all the stuttering in the recording that you have worked on.

Overall this group project has made me interested in video recording and the editing software that we are using for all the editing needs. Id says it would be an interesting skill to have, especially if you were given an assignment on a topic that you would have to do that involves video recording and a editing video software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and owning an excellent decent microphone that can be used for voice recordings for any group project assignments.

Rewrite #3

Changes For this week, I have to rewrite my blog for the third time. Which blog? The Media ethics blog. It is currently one of the best blogs that I’ve written. Also, it has the most comments on it, which is around six comments with good positive reviews with one criticism saying that I should expand on my thoughts on the videos in the blog that I had to review on.  For the changes, if I’m going, to be honest, I haven’t changed anything much. I mean, in rewrite #2, I’ve made the necessary changes overall which there isn’t much that I can change. If it were another one of my blogs that I could make changes to, it would’ve been good. However, I can only think of two changes that I can change, and they are: Fonts:  I never really have used any of the fonts here, so I thought, why not and mess around with fonts to see if I can find what I like and will probably use the one that I will like.  Subheadings: I have added subheadings already, but the only difference that I’ve made...

Media representation

For this week, I will be watching some videos on media representation. There are some videos that I will be watching, and after I watch these videos, I will give my thoughts on what they are all about.  Video 1 Why Representation Matters This first video generally talks about representation and why it matters so much, and a needed change. In the video, you have people of different backgrounds, different colours and people of different genders talking about why there needs to be a change in the digital media world of representation, like other stories to be told as a way for people of those different backgrounds, different colours and different genders to watch the content that is happening so that they can resonate with. A way to tackle this issue is to hire people from different cultures to be a creator and let them tell their own story or a story that they know of people that is around them.
