Looking Back

This week I finally wrapped up the group project I had to do over the past few weeks. This took a while to do with all the research that everyone had to do to get everything right and ready to go for this project.

For this project, we had to shoot a video talking about how gaming has changed, and it's good or bad. What I mean by that is that in terms of being good would be that the graphics of a game looks good and detailed. There’s a lot of content in the game itself, and with the evolution of technology, game developers can quickly implement and build up their games. The wrong side of this, however, is the continuation of microtransactions which can lead to gambling which would lead to children’s parent's losing their money because they are spending it on weapon skins and clothing items for their character in a game. 

That’s what I generally talked about for this project and how I did it was I had to record my voice reading out a script that I had done up, and I had to record it in a minute which was a challenge to do. There were times that I had to cut down on the script so that I could do the script in a minute, or I had to write up a new script to suit my attempts for this challenge. 

I will say that I liked it. I had a good time recording it. I even ordered a mic for it, which you can see in the image above. The microphone that I had bought was only €30 when I bought it online. It had come with a pop filter, a stand and a mini stand that I could use in the future, which would be handy for future projects if I had to bring in the microphone to college. 

Overall it has been a good experience and if i had a chance to do this again i would. If i had wanted to improve on something for any future projects it would have to be learning Adobe Premiere Pro an editing software to edit voice and recording. Although in my experience the recording software that i had used was GarageBand and editing software for Apple users because i had used an iPad Pro for this so that was alright. It allowed me to edit my recordings so that you could my voice a bit better than before.

Rewrite #3

Changes For this week, I have to rewrite my blog for the third time. Which blog? The Media ethics blog. It is currently one of the best blogs that I’ve written. Also, it has the most comments on it, which is around six comments with good positive reviews with one criticism saying that I should expand on my thoughts on the videos in the blog that I had to review on.  For the changes, if I’m going, to be honest, I haven’t changed anything much. I mean, in rewrite #2, I’ve made the necessary changes overall which there isn’t much that I can change. If it were another one of my blogs that I could make changes to, it would’ve been good.
